Among flowers at Bio LAK garden that we harvested to make toner hydrosol, white champaca is the most difficult. White champaca trees are planted throughout the garden due to its wide canopy coverage. In addition to the low flower branches within hand reach, the flower at higher level, the gardeners need to carry a ladder to go from this tree to another tree to pick flowers.
At Bio LAK garden, we only harvest white champaca flowers on sunny days, and not collect it on rainy days because its scent will be affected. Although we have used a lot of the flowers for steam distillation, the aroma of Champaca toner hydrosol is gentle because its scent component is a volatile type.
